Non-Life Insurance Companies Earn Rs 33 Billion in Premium

May 31: Non-life insurance companies have sold off insurance products worth around Rs 33 in the first ten months of the current fiscal year.  According to data published by the Nepal Insurance Authority(NIA), 14 non-life insurance companies sold 2,393,182 insurance policies by the end of Baisakh, earning a total insurance premium of Rs 32.87 billion.

Shikhar Insurance Company Limited(SICL) tops the list of companies earning the highest insurance premiums. By the end of Baisakh, the company earned a total insurance premium of Rs 4.54 billion.

In second place comes Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company Limited(SALICO), which earned a total insurance premium of Rs 3.88 billion. Siddhartha Premier Insurance Company Limited (SPIL) is in third place, having earned a total insurance premium of Rs 3.18 billion.

National Insurance earned the least insurance premium over the last ten months, with a total of Rs 943.9 million by the end of Baisakh. Following National, Nepal Insurance Company Limited (NICL)earned the second least, with a total insurance premium of Rs 1.25 billion.
