KATHMANDU: The government has allocated a budget of Rs 57.29 billion for the agriculture in the next fiscal year.
Announcing the budget for the next fiscal year on Tuesday, Finance Minister Barshman Pun said that the government has allocated Rs 57.29 billion for the agriculture sector.
He added that the government has allocated a subsidized amount of Rs 27.95 billion for timely management of fertilizer for the farmers.
The government also announced to promote the production and use of organic food and fertilizers and discourage chemical pesticides and promote biological pesticides.
