KATHMANDU: A joint meeting of both the houses of the Federal Parliament has started after the government agreed to form a parliamentary probe committee as per the demand of the Nepali Congress, the main opposition party. During today's parliamentary meeting, Finance Minister Barshman Pun is presenting the budget for the next financial year (FY) 081/82.

The budget speech, which was scheduled to be held at 1 pm today, started two and a half hours late.

The joint meeting of parliament was postponed for two hours at the request of the government.
