Kathmandu: National Planning Commission (NPC) Vice Chairman Dr. Min Bahadur Shrestha has said that the 16th periodic plan has prioritized production and employment. The NPC officially unveiled the 16th plan on Wednesday.
Stating that there is a gap between the goals and the achievements of the 15th plan, Shrestha said that the main focus of the 16th plan is implementation. "The five-year tasks to be undertaken by every ministry are included in the plan. It has been prepared by engaging with more than 3,000 stakeholders. In this plan, the problems and challenges have been studied and researched in detail, and solutions have been drawn out," he said.
He stated that the current economy's main problem is the lack of production and employment. "In the 16th Plan, production and economic growth have been given top priority," said Shrestha.
