Kathmandu: The government has passed the Policies and Programmes for the upcoming fiscal year.    
A cabinet meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Tuesday approved the policies and programmes, said Minister for Communications and Information Technology and Spokesperson of the government, Rekha Sharma.     
President Ram Chandra Paudel is scheduled to present the policies and programmes of the upcoming fiscal year in a joint session of the Federal Parliament on Tuesday afternoon.    
The meeting also endorsed the 16th five-year plan, shared Minister Sharma. The National Planning Commission had sent the draft of the 16th periodic plan (2081/81-2085/86) to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Sunday for final endorsement. -- RSS
