Kathmandu: President Ram Chandra Paudel has approved the resignation of economic expert advisor Dr Chiranjeevi Nepal.
Issuing a press statement on Sunday, spokesperson for the Office of the President, Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai mentioned that the president has accepted the resignation tendered by his economic expert advisor Nepal, who is a former governor of Nepal Rastra Bank.
President Paudel thanked Nepal for his service during his tenure.
Former Governor Nepal courted controversy recently over his remarks on the government’s recent decision to include the new map of Nepal in the hundred-rupee notes of Nepali currency.
