May 9: The Nepal Stock Exchange(NEPSE) witnessed a gain of 5.63 points or 0.28%, closing at 1966.23 on the last trading day of the week on Thursday.
Throughout today’s trading session, 313 scrips were traded in the NEPS in 49,332 transactions, totaling 7,058,399 shares and a turnover of Rs 3.12 billion.
Nepal Finance Limited (NFS) led in transaction volume with Rs 16 crores. Oriental Hotels Limited (OHL) experienced the highest gain of 8.46%, while Kumari Sabal Yojana (KSY) suffered the most significant loss at 8.48%.
In terms of sector indices, all sectors except Life Insurance, Manufacturing and Processing, and Microfinance closed positively.
Hotels and Tourism Index saw the most significant gain at 6.96%, while Microfinance Index faced the highest loss at 0.90%.
