May 7: Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun has pledged to determine the tax rate in a transparent manner.

Speaking at an interaction in the capital on Monday, Minister Pun pledged to change the scope of tax in a transparent manner based on the recommendations of the Revenue Advisory Committee and suggestions of the stakeholders.    
He claimed that the number of Nepali citizens going abroad has decreased and efforts are being made to bring back those who have gone abroad.    
The process of transferring knowledge, skills and capital from those who have gone abroad is underway, he said, adding that a good example has been seen in the field of information technology.    
He pledged to bring programmes in the upcoming budget to instill hope among the people and encourage the youth. -- RSS
