April 28: The Third Investment Summit has kicked off in the capital with the goal of bringing in foreign direct investment and launching development projects for the country's economic progress.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal inaugurated the summit amidst a special programme at Soaltee Hotel on Sunday morning.
One hundred and fifty-one projects will be presented in the summit. According to the Investment Board of Nepal, more than 1600 investors from over 55 countries are participating in the event.
The IBN informed that there will be 23 exhibition stalls along with detailed information on the projects during the conference. Similarly, the government will seek concept notes for 19 projects.
The first day of the event will witnesses inauguration session and two major sessions. The two-day international event will feature 11 parallel sessions on Monday.
The investors will have opportunities to interact with PM Dahal and Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun in course of the summit.
The First Investment Summit was organized on March 2-3, 2017 and the Second Investment Summit on March 29 and 30, 2019. -- RSS
