April 21: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index witnessed an increase of 12.29 points or 0.62%, closing at 1984.43 on the first trading day of the week, Sunday.
During today’s trading session, 310 scrips were traded on the NEPSE through 47,117 transactions, with a total of 6,393,245 shares changing hands, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 2.25 crores.
Gurkhas Finance Limited (GUFL) led the transaction turnover amount with a total transaction worth Rs 10 crores. Dolti Power Company Limited (DOLTI) achieved the highest gain of 9.88%, closing at a market price of Rs 487 per share.
On the contrary, People’s Power Limited (PPL) incurred the highest loss at 7.46%, closing at a market price of Rs 608 per share.
In terms of sector indices, all sectors closed in the green territory except Banking SubIndex and Mutual Fund. Manufacturing and Processing experienced the highest gain of 1.90%, while Mutual Fund experienced the highest loss at 0.43%.
