April 16: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index witnessed a loss of 14.81 points or 0.73%, closing at 1991.71 on the third trading day of the week, Tuesday.
During today’s trading session, 312 scrips were traded on the NEPSE through 39,476 transactions. A total of 5,471,068 shares changed hands, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 2.10 billion.
Gurkhas Finance Limited (GUFL) led the turnover amount with a total transaction of Rs 17 crores. The 10.75% SBL Debenture 2089 (SBLD89) saw the highest gain of 9.9%, closing at Rs 1,155 per share.
Ru Ru Jalbidhyut Pariyojana Limited (RURU) incurred the maximum loss of 10%, closing at a market price of Rs 560 per share.
In terms of sector indices, all sectors closed in the red territory. The HydroPower Index saw the highest loss at 1.31%, while the Mutual Fund Index experienced the least loss of 0.01%.
