March 31: Vehicular movement on the crucial Kulekhani-Sisneri-Chhaimale-Dakshinkali road has been halted for an indefinite period of time starting today(Sunday). This road serves as a vital link between Hetauda and Kathmandu.
The closure is attributed to ongoing upgrading efforts, including the construction of reinforced concrete structures, drainage systems, and the application of black-topping.
Pratap Bhomjan, Chairman of Indrasarobar Rural Municipality-3, confirmed that the closure will persist until the black-topping works are finalized.
Previously, the Sisneri segment of the Kulekhani-Sisneri-Chhaimale-Dakshinkali Road had been closed for construction activities since the second week of this month.
Authorities from the Ward Office emphasized that the suspension of vehicular traffic is imperative to facilitate uninterrupted construction progress. Operation of jeeps and microbuses before the completion of road upgrading works has been identified as a hindrance to the construction process. (RSS)
