March 17: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index experienced a decline of 10.62 points or 0.51%, closing at 2070.25 on the first trading day of the week on Sunday.
During today’s trading session, 304 scrips were traded on the NEPSE through 63,009 transactions. As many as 8,406,076 shares were traded resulting in a total turnover of Rs 3.38 billion.
Shivam Cements Limited (SHIVM) led the transaction amount with a total turnover of Rs 41 crores. Saptakoshi Development Bank Limited (SAPDBL) saw the highest gain of 10%, closing at a market price of Rs 287.10 per share.
Conversely, Wean Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) incurred the highest loss at 7.83%, closing at a market price of Rs 1,066 per share.
Regarding sector-indices, all sector indices closed in the red territory except the Development Bank Index, Finance Index, and Manufacturing and Processing Index.
The Development Index saw the highest gain of 0.82%, while the Hotels and Tourism Index lost the most at 1.56%.
