March 13: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) saw a modest decline, with the NEPSE Index dropping by 2.48 points or 0.11% and closing at 2108.72 points on the third trading day of the week on Wednesday.
Throughout the trading session, a total of 310 stocks were traded via 73,506 transactions, resulting in a turnover of Rs 4.24 billion from 10,889,634 shares traded.
Shivam Cements Limited (SHIVM) led in transaction volume, with a turnover of Rs 25 crores. Among individual stocks, Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (WNLB) experienced the highest gain of 9.99%, closing at Rs 1051 per share, while Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited (UPPER) suffered the largest loss, dropping by 10% to Rs 183.60 per share.
Regarding sub-indices, six indices including Development Index, Finance Index, Life Insurance, Microfinance Index, Mutual Fund, and Others Index ended positively, while the remaining indices closed in the negative territory.
