March 12: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index experienced a significant increase of 58.55 points, equivalent to 2.85%, closing at 2111.24 on Tuesday, on the second trading day of the week on Tuesday.
Throughout today's trading session, a total of 305 scrips were exchanged on the NEPSE through 82,746 transactions. This resulted in the trading of 10,609,597 units of shares, amounting to a total turnover of Rs 4.55 billion.
Leading the transactions was Shivam Cements Limited (SHIVM) with a total transaction worth Rs 37 crores. Furthermore, five companies, including Janautthan Samudayic Laghubitta Sanstha (JSLBB) and Jalpa Laghibitta Bittiya Sanstha (JALPA), experienced a 10% increase each, hitting the positive circuit for the day.
However, the mutual fund named Himalayan 80-20 (H8020) suffered the highest loss, at 2.57%, closing at 9.10.
Regarding sector indices, all sector indices ended in positive territory. Notably, Life Insurance and Microfinance witnessed gains of 5.54% and 5.05%, respectively, while the Hydropower Index recorded a minimal gain of 0.99%.
