February 20: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index experienced a minimal decline of 1.76 points or 0.08%, closing at 2033.06 on the second trading day of the week on Tuesday.
During today’s trading session, 314 scrips were traded through 76,803 transactions. A total of 9,342,546 shares changed their hands, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 3.11 billion.
Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the turnover with a total transaction worth Rs 31 crores. Bottlers Nepal Limited (BNL) and Samaj Laghubitta Bittiya Santha Limited (SAMAJ) each gained 10% and hit the positive circuit for the day.
On the contrary, Greenlife Hydropower Limited (GLH) incurred the highest loss of 10%, closing at a market price of Rs 218 per share.
Analyzing the sector indices, all sectors closed in the red territory except for five sectors. The Others Index gained the highest at 1.10%, while the Investment Index saw a minimal gain of 0.18%.
Similarly, the Microfinance Index lost the most at 0.74%, while the Mutual Fund witnessed a minimal dip of 0.05%.
