February 15: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a decline of 14.46 points or 0.69%, closing at 2062.03 on the last trading day of the week on Thursday.
During today’s session, 305 scrips were traded on the NEPSE via 81,056 transactions. A total of 11,407,264 shares changed hands, resulting in a turnover of Rs 3.86 billion.
Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the turnover with transactions worth Rs 22 crores. Bottlers Nepal Limited (BNL) and Samaj Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SAMAJ) both experienced a 10% gain, and hit the positive circuit for the day.
Conversely, Mailung Khola Jal Vidhyut Company Limited (MKJC) suffered the highest loss at 5.70%, closing at a market price of Rs 546 per share.
Regarding sector indices, all sectors except Manufacturing and Processing experienced declines. The Finance Index recorded the highest loss at 2.71%, while the HydroPower Index saw the least decline at 0.30%. Only Manufacturing and Processing closed in positive territory, gaining 0.15%.
