February 14: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a rise of 5.91 points or 0.28%, closing at 2076.50 on the fourth trading day of the week on Wednesday.
During today’s trading session, 302 scrips were traded on the NEPSE through 74,675 transactions. Similarly, a total of 12,363,027 shares changed hands, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 4.25 billion.
Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the turnover with a total transaction worth Rs 17 crores, closing at a market price of Rs 668.10 per share. Nepal Finance Limited (NFS), Bottlers Nepal Limited (BNL), and Panchthar Power Company Limited (PPCL) each saw a 10% gain and hit the positive circuit for the day.
On the contrary, People’s Power Limited (PPL) incurred the highest loss at 5.81%, closing at a market value of Rs 384 per share.
In terms of sector indices, seven indices closed in the green territory while six sectors landed in the red zone. The Finance Index gained the highest at 6.56%, while Manufacturing and Processing achieved a minimal gain at 0.10.
On the other hand, the Trading Index lost the highest at 0.37%, and the Hydropower Index suffered a minimal loss at 0.13%.
