NEPSE Gains 9.44 Points, Closing at 2085.71

February 6: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index witnessed a rise of 9.44 points, or 0.45%, closing at 2085.71 on the third trading day of the week, Tuesday.

During today’s trading session, 315 scrips were traded on the NEPSE through 66,559 transactions. A total of 7,624,376 shares changed hands, resulting in a total turnover amount of Rs 2.59 billion.

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the turnover amount with a total transaction of Rs 33 crores, closing at a market price of Rs 704.90 per share.

Samaj Laghubitta Bittaiya Sanstha Limited (SAMAJ) recorded the highest gain at 9.99%, closing at a market price of Rs 763 per share. Conversely, Samling Power Company (SPC) experienced the maximum loss at 10%, closing at a market price of Rs 616 per share.

In terms of sector indices, all sectors closed in the green territory except for the Others Index and Trading Index. The Manufacturing and Processing Index gained the highest at 1.08%, while the Banking SubIndex posted the least gain at 0.18%.
