February 5: The winter session of the Federal Parliament is set to begin today (Monday, February 5). The Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Devraj Ghimire, said that entire preparations for the parliamentary meetings have been completed.

After taking stock about the ongoing preparations for the winter session of the Federal Parliament on Sunday, Speaker Ghimire expressed his commitment to work as per the parliamentary session’s calendar to make the winter session more effective.  

Ghimire said that the government has assured to table more bills in the House. 

Likewise, Deputy Spokesperson for the Federal Parliament, Dasharath Dhamala, said that the Speaker has already held consultations with the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs regarding the bills.

Discussions related to the upcoming budget will be held during the winter session of parliament, as per the revised schedule of the government. -- RSS
