January 31: The National Planning Commission (NPC) held consultations with international development partners on the draft of the 16th period plan and Nepal’s smooth transition strategy for graduation from the Least Developed Country (LDC).
Officials from the United Nations, World Bank, International Monetary Fund as well as ambassadors and representatives from different countries provided their recommendations during the discussion held under the chairmanship of NPC Vice-Chair Dr Min Bahadur Shrestha on Tuesday.
The development partners attending the meeting stressed the need to establish coherent linkage between the 16th plan and LDC graduation strategy.
NPC Vice-Chair Dr Shrestha said constructive recommendations received from the development partners would be included in the 16th plan.
Earlier, NPC had held discussion with newly-appointed members of the National Development Council regarding the 16th plan. -- RSS
