January 28: Ncell has awarded 'Ncell Scholarship and Excellence Award' to the best students studying in five faculties of the Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk. This is the 10th year of the Ncell Scholarship and Excellence Awards.

Under this program, the best students of Civil, Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Computer and Mechanical Engineering faculties were awarded by Ncell, a leading private sector telecom service provider of Nepal. 

Dean of the Institute of Engineering Prof. Dr. Shashidhar Raj Joshi and Ncell Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Jabbor Kayumov jointly presented the scholarships to the students. Similarly, Ncell's Chief Legal and Regulatory Officer Bishalmani Upadhyay, Chief Commercial Officer Umer Mohsin and Acting Chief Technology Officer Lena Keshari Kansakar were present on the occasion.

Kayumov said that he is proud to provide incentives to youth and students for excellence in collaboration with the country's prestigious Institute of Engineering. “It is not only a responsibility to empower the new generation but also a commitment,” he said, adding that it will support innovation, progress and positive change.

Dean of the Institute of Engineering Prof. Dr. Joshi said he was proud of the students' achievements. This award program, which was started in 2071, aims to recognize young talents and appreciate their academic excellence while encouraging technical education. The amount of each scholarship and excellence award is Rs 100,000.
