January 28: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has announced to provide free vehicle parking services on the Dharahara premises in Sundhara of Kathmandu from today, January 28.
Free parking service will be available on the first floor of the parking building built next to the Dharahara tower, according to the KMC.
It may be noted that the KMC has banned roadside parking in New Road area. The metropolis recently declared the blacktopped roads in New Road area as parking prohibited zone.
Head of KMC Police, Senior Superintendent of Police Rajunath Pandey, said parking facility will also be provided free on the premises of Dharahara along with the free parking service at Kathmandu Tower (former bus park).
An area of 50,000 square feet will be available for free parking at the Dharaha premises, which can be reached from the road leading to Khichapokhari from Kathmandu Mall. -- RSS
