January 22: Lumbini Bikas Bank Limited has provided financial support to the 'Sahara Football Academy,' operated by Sahara Academy Pokhara in Dobilla, Pokhara-17. The bank has extended financial assistance of Rs 244,800 to the club, continuing its support from the previous year.

Ramchandra Sigdel, a member of the bank's executive committee, handed over a cheque of the financial aid to Keshavraj Baral, the club's president.

The fund  is intended for the nutrition and food expenses of the boys and girls residing in the academy. Currently, the academy accommodates 45 underprivileged and vulnerable children from 15 districts facing challenging circumstances.

Sahara Club Pokhara provides care and football training along with education to these children.
