Police Arrest Fugitive Ram Bahadur Bamjan from Budhanilkantha

January 10: Police have arrested self-proclaimed aesthetic-turned fugitive Ram Bahadur Bamjan, who was on the run for years for his alleged involvement of rape and disappearance of his followers. Bamjan, who was in the most-wanted list of Nepal Police, was arrested from the northern outskirts of Kathmandu on Tuesday.

A squad from the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police nabbed Bamjan from Budhanilkantha area in Kathmandu, Nepal Police Spokesperson Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Kuber Kadayat told RSS.    
"A team of police held Bamjan from Budhanilkantha area at 7:00 pm today (Tuesday)," RSS quoted DIG Kadayat as saying.    
The Nepal Police was searching for Bamjan for years after the police received complaints about the missing of four persons including a lady monk from his ashram in Sindhuli.
