Freezing Cold Shuts Schools in Mahottari 

January 10: Three local levels have closed schools in the wake of rising cold in Mahottari district. 

Ramgopalpur municipality closed schools for four days, while Sonama rural municipality for nine days from Monday. Similarly, Gaushala municipality decided to shut down schools for a week from Tuesday. 

The local levels shared information about school closure by issuing notices. 
Chairman of Sonama rural municipality, Bisheshwor Yadav, informed that the schools were closed to save children from freezing cold affecting their health.

Similarly, Ramgopal municipality mayor Ram Dular Saha said closure of school could help children escape cold related problems. 

Meanwhile, various schools have reported sharp decline in students' attendance due to cold for some days in the district. (RSS)
