January 5: The Government of the Republic of Iceland has appointed Vidushi Rana as the Consul General of the Republic of Iceland for Nepal. Dilip Kumar Paudel, chief of protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, handed over the certificate to Rana on Thursday.

As a consul general, Rana will make an attepmt to facilitate tourism, cultural exchange, trade and investment between Nepal and the Republic of Iceland and increase understanding and cooperation for the mutual benefit of both nations.

Vidushi Rana is the executive director of Kiran Shoes (Goldstar Shoes). She expressed her commitment to take the relations between Nepal and the Republic of Iceland to a new height in the coming days.
