December 14: The Department of Foreign Employment has urged everyone to remain alert to potential fraud in the name of employment in Israel.    
According to the department’s Spokesperson and Information Officer, Kabiraj Upreti, sending Nepali migrant workers to Israel-based care homes is currently being facilitated through official channels as per the labour agreement reached between the Nepal Government and Israel. He said that discussions are ongoing with Israel regarding the deployment of Nepali migrant workers for agricultural purposes, but no conclusive decision has been made yet.    
The department has warned that a group of fraudsters is actively involved in falsely claiming to facilitate employment for migrant workers in Israel’s farming sector under the 'Learn and Earn' programme.    
The department said it is minutely investigating the matter. -- RSS
