December 13: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index showed a modest increase of 2.60 points or 0.13%, concluding the fourth trading day of the week at 1988.04 points on Wednesday.
During today’s trading session, 292 scrips were traded in 81,451 transactions, involving a total of 12,095,539 traded shares. The overall turnover amounted to Rs 3.90 billion.
Sonapur Minerals and Oil Limited (SONA) stood out with the highest turnover, reaching Rs 14 crores.
Bottlers Nepal Limited (BNL) experienced the most significant gain, marking a 10% increase and hitting the positive circuit for the day. On the other hand, Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Limited (KBSH) incurred the highest loss at 5.59%.
In terms of sector performance, all sectors closed in the green zone except for Hotels and Tourism Index, Life Insurance, Non-Life Insurance, and Trading Index.
The Development Bank Index saw the most substantial gain at 1.15%, while the Hotels and Tourism Index suffered the most significant loss at 1.62%.
