December 13: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC)’s Executive Director Umesh Thani has resigned from his post. Thani submitted his resignation to the NOC Board of Directors on Tuesday.

A board member of NOC said citing the letter submitted to the NOC Board of Directors that Thani resigned from his post voluntarily.

The NOC is headed by commerce secretary.

Before his appointment as the executive director of NOC, Thani was the president of Center for Democratic Engineers, an organization of engineers affiliated to the Nepali Congress. He spent more than one and a half years in the state-owned NOC.
