December 3: The government has disbursed the first installment of funds for the construction of temporary housing for the Jajarkot earthquake survivors.    
Spokesperson for the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) Dhruba Bahadur Khadka shared that almost Rs 240 million was released on Friday for the quake survivors' housing. 
The first installment has been released for 18,328 out of 28,527 verified beneficiaries. The beneficiaries receiving the amount include 3,309 in Jajarkot, 214 in Bajura, 14,224 in Rukum West and 577 in Bajhang.    
According to NDRRMA Spokesperson Khadka, funds are yet to be disbursed for 1,485 beneficiaries of Salyan and will be disbursed soon. -- RSS
