November 29: Bhim Prasad Gautam has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Independent Power Producers’ Association, Nepal (IPPAN). IPPAN, the umbrella organization for energy producers, appointed Gautam as the CEO for a term of three years on Wednesday.
IPPAN President Ganesh Karki welcomed Gautam as the new CEO, expressing confidence that under his leadership, the organization would achieve new heights. The newly appointed CEO, Gautam, also pledged to contribute fully to IPPAN's growth during his tenure.
Gautam, a seasoned journalist from Banepa, Kavrepalanchok, has over two decades of experience in journalism, particularly in the fields of energy and infrastructure. He has been actively involved in addressing various issues related to energy and has served as the former president of the The Society of Economic Journalists-Nepal (SEJON).
Gautam, who holds a master's degree in journalism from Tribhuvan University, currently conducts research as the executive director of the Center for Investigative Journalism, Nepal.
