November 27: Zonta Club Kathmandu organized an awareness program on violence against women on Sunday as part of the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence.

The awareness program was held in collaboration with the Women's Wing of the Armed Police Force and Ncell. AIG Dr Chandra Prakash Gautam was the chief guest of the event, which was attended by women from Kathmandu metropolis, women members of Armed Police Force and members of Zonta Club.

Stakeholders discussed various problems faced by women, legal provisions related to women in Nepal, and cyber security during the program.

As part of the 16-day campaign, four different videos related to child marriage, domestic violence, abuse at workplace and sexual abuse in the transport sector were screened in 31 cinema halls in Kathmandu, the Zonta Club informed. Various colleges presented awareness materials through social media in coordination with Zonta Club.
