November 23: Bharatpur Metropolitan City is gearing up for the 'Visit Bharatpur 2024' campaign, aiming to attract both domestic and international tourists by showcasing Bharatpur as a premier tourism destination. The announcement was made during a program jointly organized by Bharatpur Metropolitan City and the Tourism Board on Wednesday.
Deputy Mayor Chitra Sen Adhikari revealed that the campaign is designed to designate 2024 as the official 'Visit Bharatpur Year.' Noteworthy is the fact that Bharatpur Metropolitan City is the first local government to initiate a 'Visit Year' campaign, emphasizing its significance not just for the city but for the entire nation.
Minister of State for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Sushila Sripali Thakuri, commended the historic efforts of Bharatpur Metropolitan City in promoting tourism by recognizing the region's natural beauty. She highlighted the ministry's commitment to overcoming legal obstacles hindering the protection and promotion of the tourism sector through comprehensive reviews.
Dhananjay Regmi, Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism Board, emphasized the timeliness of launching the 'Visit Bharatpur 2024' campaign, praising Bharatpur Metropolitan City's dedication to its success. The Metropolis has declared 2024 as the 'Visit Bharatpur' year, encompassing a range of events and activities to boost tourism.
These include an international safari mart, investment summit, heritage marathon, government and stakeholder meetings, jungle festival, youth and women conferences, literary programs, national and international seminars, sports competitions, exhibitions, and food festivals. (RSS)
