November 17: Australian government has pledged to provide 600 thousand Australian dollars (approximately Rs 51 million) in humanitarian aid to the recent earthquake victims in the districts of Jajarkot and Rukum West. This announcement was made through a press release from the Australian Embassy in Nepal.
The funds will be allocated through established multilateral and local partnerships, with the primary goal of delivering essential emergency humanitarian supplies and providing crucial life-saving protection and assistance.
In addition to immediate relief efforts, Australia's assistance will also play a role in supporting early reconstruction initiatives, specifically focusing on restoring damaged public infrastructure, including healthcare facilities.
Australia has conveyed its deepest condolences to the people of Nepal affected by the earthquake. (RSS)
