November 10: Pokhara Metropolitan City (PMC) has signed an agreement with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to bolster the development of tourism in the region.
The accord, focusing on technical consultancy, spans a comprehensive approach to enhance tourism, agriculture, and information technology in Pokhara.
USAID has committed to providing technical expertise over a two-year period, aiming to assist PMC in overcoming challenges faced by the tourism sector, particularly in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. PMC Mayor Dhanraj Acharya and Agnes Luz, the project chief at USAID, signed the agreement.
Under the agreement, a multifaceted strategy is envisioned, encompassing orientation programs, investment forums, as well as marketing and publicity initiatives. These collective efforts are expected to pave the way for the comprehensive development of tourism in Pokhara. (RSS)
