November 1: The state-owned Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has slashed the prices of diesel and kerosene each by Rs 4 per litre while the price of petrol has remained unchanged.
Issuing a statement on Tuesday, the NOC said the new price will come into force from Wednesday, November 1.
As per the revised price list, diesel and kerosene will now cost Rs 164 per litre in the Kathmandu valley, Pokhara and Dipayal, which fall in the third category of cities. The price of petrol remains unchanged at Rs 172 per litre.
The statement further mentions that the state-owned oil monopoly of Nepal revised the rates of the petroleum products after receiving the new list from its Indian counterpart, the Indian Oil Corporation, which lowered the prices.
