NEPSE Index Gains 3.04 Points to Close at 1878.70

October 30: The Nepal Stock Exchange(NEPSE) Index gained 3.04 points or 0.16%, closing at 1878.70 points on the second trading day of the week, Monday. 

The NEPSE Index has been on the downward for a long time. With the bearish trend persisting for prolonged period of time, the prices of listed companies have significantly dropped.

Experts and seasoned investors say that investors are waiting for the first quarterly report of the companies. Bonus season has come and if the companies publish the positive first quarterly reports, buyers will be active, giving much-needed momentum to the market.

During today's trading, there were 287 different stocks traded in 30,237 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 2,824,007 units with a total turnover of Rs. 69.42 Crore.

Sadhana Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited Promoter Shares (SDLBSLP) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 3.60 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 338.00.

Similarly, Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Ltd (PMHPL) experienced the highest gain of 7.82% today.

On the contrary, Sonapur Minerals And Oil Limited (SONA) lost the highest 10.00% today, on its second trading day.

In terms of sector indices, three sectors closed in the red zone while the "Non-Life Insurance" gained the highest 0.86%. Meanwhile, the "Manufacturing And Processing" recorded the most loss with 0.80% negative change.
