October 18: Nepal’s national football team has entered the second round of FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers by defeating Laos in the return leg.
Nepal beat Laos 1-0 in its away match held in Laos on Tuesday.
Manish Dangi scored the decisive goal to ensure Nepal’s victory with the valuable away goal. The early goal he scored in the 53rd second of the match was decisive. Manish netted the goal with an assist from Anjan Bista.
Nepal and Laos had played a 1-1 draw in the first leg held in Nepal. With this victory, Nepal will now compete with the UAE, Bahrain and Yemen in Group 'H' of the second round of the world cup qualifiers. -- RSS
