October 12: An earthquake jolted Bajhang again last night.    
The earthquake of magnitude 5.3 with its epicenter in Bhatekhola of Masta Rural Municipality occurred at 12.22 last night.    
Seismic expert Dr Shiva Subedi said the earthquake occurred at Bhatekhola which is 5.4-km away from the district headquarters Chainpur. Several aftershocks have so far jolted Bajhang since last Tuesday. A person was killed and 20 others were injured when the earthquake struck Bajhang with its epicenter at Bhatekhola on Tuesday night, October 3. It had also caused damages to the physical infrastructures in the district.    
The locals gathered in open ground early this morning after series of earthquakes and aftershocks rocked Bajhang.    
Rajesh Karki, a local of Khaptadchhanna Rural Municipality-5 shared that there was a stampede after earthquake last night. -- RSS
