October 1: The meeting of the Nepal Oil Corporation's Board of Directors held on Saturday decided to raise the prices of petroleum products. The state-owned entity with monopoly in the import and distribution of the petroleum products has hiked the price of petrol per liter by Rs 2, diesel and kerosene by Rs 6 per liter.

Similarly, the NOC has hiked the price of cooking gas by Rs 215 per cylinder. Similarly, NOC has increased the the prices of both domestic and international aviation fuel by Rs 8 per liter.

With the revision of the price, the price of cooking gas per cylinder now costs Rs 2,110. The price of petrol in the first category (Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj Depots) stands at Rs 182.5 per liter.

Likewise, the price of the petrol in the second category (Surkhet and Dang) is Rs 184, and in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal Rs 185 per liter. Similarly, the price of diesel is set at Rs 176.5 per liter in the first category, Rs 178 in the second category, and Rs 179 in the third category.

The price of domestic aviation fuel now costs Rs 144 per liter, and the international price is $1.095 per liter. The increased prices have come into effect after Saturday midnight.
