September 28: The Furniture and Furnishing Expo 2023 commenced on September 27 at the Bhrikutimandap exhibition hall.
This event, in its 9th edition, is organized by the Nepal Furniture and Furnishing Association with the primary objective of promoting Nepal's furniture and furnishing market and uniting locally produced goods and services in one convenient location.
Over a hundred stalls featuring furniture and furnishing material sellers, manufacturers, importers, distributors, machinery and technology providers, dealers, and others have been set up at the exhibition.
Entry is free, and the organizers anticipate over 50,000 visitors to attend the expo. Additionally, the exhibition venue offers specialized consulting services for architecture and interior design.
Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Supply, Ramesh Rijal, emphasized the government's commitment to prioritizing policies that boost domestic production, reduce imports, and encourage exports.
He underscored the need to promote the export of handicrafts rooted in Nepal's original art culture and crafted from local raw materials. (RSS)
