<p><span style="font-size:20px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">This power export to India is facilitated through the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) of the Indian Energy Exchange Limited (IEX), with approximately 110 megawatts of electricity being exported to the Indian company NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited as part of a mid-term electricity agreement.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:20px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Furthermore, the Central Electricity Authority under the Ministry of Power in India has granted approval for the import of 632 megawatts of electricity from Nepal. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:20px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">NEA Managing Director, Kulman Ghising, highlighted that these power trade relations have made a significant contribution to Nepal's foreign exchange reserves, helping to reduce the substantial trade deficit the country has with India.(RSS) </span></span></p>
