September 14: Cement production at the Hetauda Cement Industry has come to a standstill due to a machine breakdown, specifically in the coal mill.
The equipment failure has forced a temporary suspension of cement production.
The machine will be repaired within the next three to four days, and the industry will soon resume its cement production, according to Nabin Kumar Karna, the Deputy General Manager of the industry.
Fortunately, the industry has already stockpiled an ample supply of both coal and limestone, ensuring that production can swiftly resume once the equipment is fixed.
The Hetauda Cement Industry produces 10,000 sacks of cement every day.
It's worth noting that this is not the first interruption the industry has faced recently.
Previously, the industry was closed for approximately two months due to a shortage of coal, said Shatru Aryal, an officer within the industry's administration division. (RSS)
