Government Striving for Economic Reforms, says Prime Minister Dahal

September 13: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal stated that the government is committed to economic reforms, highlighting a strong emphasis on boosting production and generating employment opportunities.

Speaking at a gathering in the federal capital on Wednesday, PM Dahal emphasized that the budget for fiscal year 2023/2024 prioritizes increasing production and creating jobs.

PM Dahal encouraged a positive and hopeful outlook among the public, assuring that these reforms would be implemented in the near future. He also noted that the government is actively working on improving governance and striving to strike a balance between monetary and fiscal policies.

Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, speaking at the event, expressed optimism about the gradual recovery of the country's economy, which had been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and global economic challenges.

 Mahat suggested that remittances should be directed towards productive sectors to facilitate economic growth.

Chandra Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and private sectors for the nation's prosperity.

Dhakal stressed that building confidence among private sector stakeholders is crucial for achieving this goal. (RSS)
