September 12: The registration of private and public limited companies will be available online from October 2.    
According to deputy registrar at the Office of the Company Registrar, Shekhar Babu Karki, the office is switching to online registration to make its services prompt, reliable and technology-friendly. However, the renewal procedures are to continue physically for the time being until the office prepares online service for renewal. Karki said it will take some time to adjust the new software to launch online service for the renewal.    
    
 It may be noted that the government is in the course of implementing its paperless governance concept with the use and promotion of information technology.
