UML Chair Oli Bats for Linking Cooperatives with Poor People

September 11: CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli emphasized the need to promote cooperative organizations at the grassroots level during a program held at UML's central office in Kathmandu on Sunday.

Oli stressed the importance of extending the reach of cooperative organizations to rural farmers.

Oli highlighted the importance of mass production as a means to combat poverty and suggested that those without means should be empowered to become owners of cooperative organizations.

He stated that individuals' ownership and family participation should be guaranteed within these cooperatives, based on their labor contributions.

Chairman Oli also commented on the division in the country's politics, noting a split between national politics and guided politics. He reaffirmed his party's commitment to national politics.

Furthermore, Oli urged banks and financial institutions not to auction entrepreneurs' properties, as they have faced numerous challenges, including the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

He acknowledged the economic difficulties faced by entrepreneurs, such as a lack of capital for operations and interruptions in industrial production.

Oli called for banks to refrain from property auctions during these challenging times and instead provide more time and loans to support businesses' operations. (RSS)
