September 1: An earthquake of magnitude 4 in the Richter scale occurred in Bhojpur district on Thursday night.
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre, the earthquake with epicenter at Tungechha, Bhojpur occurred at 1:11 am.
Prior to this, an earthquake of magnitude 3.9 in the Richter scale had occurred at Khiratadi area in Bajhang district on August 17.
The hills and mountainous regions in eastern and western parts of Nepal have been witnessing frequent incidents of earthquakes in recent time. -- RSS
