Thai Airways to Resume Flights to Nepal from November

August 23: Thai Airways, the national flag carrier of Thailand, is all set to resume flights to Nepal from November. Thai Airways has appointed Society International Travel Services as the General Sales Agent for Nepal. According to the agreement, Society International will provide all services related to customer and agent support including sales, marketing and airport services for Thai Airways.

Thai Airways had suspended flights to Nepal since April 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Thai Airways, which operated its maiden flight to Nepal in December 1968, claims to have succeeded in taking a special place in Nepal’s aviation history and among the people of Nepal.

The airline says it wants to take advantage of the opportunities in the Nepali market by strengthening the presence of Thai Airways and its services and facilities for the Nepalese people.

The Chief Commercial Officer of Thai Airways, Korakot Chatasingha, said that the resumption of Thai Airways flights will support the Nepali tourists and passengers to travel to various world-famous destinations within Thailand.

Ravi Chandra Singh, president of Society International Travel Services, said that the cooperation with Thai Airways was possible due to the excellent image of the organization at the international level. He expects that the re-operation of Thai Airways flights will also help to promote Nepal’s tourism industry by providing more connectivity for tourists to visit Nepal.
