Banking Offense Tops the List of Criminal Incidents in the Capital

August 20: As many as 1,275 cases have been registered in the country's federal capital, Kathmandu, in a month.    
Organizing a press conference on Friday, the District Police Range Kathmandu informed that a total of 1,275 cases were registered during a month from mid-July to mid-August.    
Spokesperson of the District Police Range, SP Kumod Dhungel said criminal activities have increased in the month of Shrawan (mid-July to mid-August) this year compared to the corresponding month last year.    
The highest number of cases registered were of banking offense, police said. Out of the 1,275 cases, 560 cases related to banking offense were registered in the review month. -- RSS
